State-of-the-art Portable Single-Gas Detection

Practical, functional, and offers a complete line of sensor options.

Replacing the ToxiPro®and the GasAlert Extreme, the next-generation Honeywell BW™ Solo builds on their proven reliable and practical operational use. The Solo offers:

  • Cost-effective ownership
  • Increased use for compliance
  • Protection and safety for workers
  • Connectivity for data transmission

Comfortable to Use

Small, compact, and lightweight, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is an easy detector to use in any type of environment, including hazardous locations.

Easy Maintenance and Service

In the field or on the go, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is designed to allow quick switching of sensors, sensor filters, or batteries. Just pop the door of the compartment open and make the necessary changes – no tools needed.

Sensor for Exotic and Standard Gases

Designed for use across diverse applications and industries, including power plants and petrochemical facilities, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is able to detect:

  • Ammonia (NH3)
  • Carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Oxygen (O2)
  • Nitrogen oxide (NO)
  • Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
  • Ozone (O3)
  • Hydrogen (H2)
  • Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
  • Chlorine (Cl2)
  • Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
  • Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)
  • Ethylene oxide (ETO)
  • Phosphine (PH3)
  • Chlorine dioxide (ClO2)

Featuring The 1-Series Sensor for A New Level of Accuracy, Safety and Lower Costs for Single-Gas Detection

Designed for frequently monitored single-gas use, the 1-Series sensor provides fast, acute performance coupled with a long life, even when used in extreme environments.

When Speed is Critical – Fast CO, H2S, and O2 Response

Designed to be streamlined, the square sensor design and the lower height of the sensor makes it easier to work with and use in any space. At 1/3 the height of standard sensors, and with the unique square shape, fast responses and rapid gas diffusion is standard.

Best Warranty and Sensor Life

The 1-Series sensor offers a three-year warranty, and the sensor has a typical life cycle of up to five years, depending on the gas exposure. With increased uptime and lower costs of maintenance, this is an investment in your productivity and safety.

Developed by a Honeywell Company

City Technologies, a Honeywell company, developed the 1-Series sensor specifically for the Honeywell BW™ Solo. They are also the company that designed and manufactured the 40XV and the 40xLL long-life oxygen sensors used in our Honeywell BW detector. With 40 years of experience, these are reliable and proven sensors that are built with the highest quality control.

End Nuisance Alarms

Do your workers have to deal with nuisance alarms with existing sensors? The 1-Series sensor eliminates these nuisance alarms while increasing the accuracy of readings, helping to improve compliance. The sensors are designed to work in harsh environments, including temperatures between -40°C to 60°C with or without humidity and transient pressure factors.

Easy Sensor Replacement

Without the need to take the detector apart, or exposure the printed circuit board, switching out a sensor has never been easier. Just take out the existing sensor and replace it with the new one, no special tools or equipment necessary.

Fleet Management, Automation, and Data Centralization Features Save Time

The Honeywell BW™ Solo is designed to integrate with the IntelliDox and Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software for data transfer and sensor control.

Docking with IntelliDox

The Honeywell IntelliDox is designed for easy docking and automatic transfer of data. In addition, the IntelliDox can also perform a range of different actions, including bump tests, bump reminders, adjust or set points, and firmware upgrades. The fleet management software automatically transfers peak readings, alarms, and other specified data when connected to USB or Ethernet.

Up to five IntelliDox can be grouped, or a single dock can be used in insolation. Each dock has a keypad, pump, LCD screen, and operator control. Grouped docks share calibration gas and power.

Boosting and Centralizing Compliance with Device Configurator

Serving several purposes, the ability to use the Device Configurator Windows-based software to export data from the detector to the computer allows for centralized management and configuration. This includes configuring alarm set points, updating firmware and exporting data from one centralized location.

Add the Cloud

Subscribing to the Honeywell HoneywellSafetySuite Device Manage allows your business to use cloud-based technology for compliance management, productivity, and safety. The advantages include:

  • easy tracking and quick identification of compliance status and alarms with multiple detectors used across various sites
  • Immediate and real-time text or email messages about alarms
  • Reporting options
  • Central data storage for easy access for reporting, audits or investigations
  • Customized features to boost compliance

Manage Detectors from Your Smartphone

Adding yet another layer of convenience, the Honeywell BW™ Solo can be used with the Connected Worker portfolio in a wireless version.

Control Through the App

The Device Configurator app allows for easy control of the detector once the Honeywell BW™ Solo is linked to your smartphone. This allows the phone app to configure, establish set alarm points, and manage actions from up to 6 meters away using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

The app can be used to see readings, check calibration or bump data and details, and to have a record of past calibrations and results. The app can also consolidate data and mail a certificate to designated stakeholders, which can be verified at launch.

No Need for Docking Stations

The choice to use the app eliminates the need for the use ofIntelliDox docking stations. Instead, the Honeywell BW™ Solo uses BLE to transmit data to the desktop software. For fleet management, this is a cost-reduction option.

Remote Access from Anywhere

With the Safety Communicator app, data is immediately transferred to the monitoring software developed by Honeywell. This is a real-time transfer without the need for docking the detector, allowing for full access to all detector locations from any connected device, improving worker safety on any job.

Increase Compliance for Workers and Safety Managers

Gloves On? No Problem for Operation

Hazardous and difficult environments do not mean risking worker safety. The Honeywell BW™ Solo is controlled with the push of a button, even when wearing gloves. Both the one-button operation option and the use of the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator allow for full configuration of the system in any location. This includes STEL or short-term exposure limits, TWA or time-weighted average measurements as well as peak gas detection data.

Visual Safety

Flashing green lights on the Honeywell BW™ Solo indicate compliance with the detector using the IntelliFlash™ feature. Green means compliance and correct monitoring and bump testing.

Flashing red means non-compliance, which can be a battery issue, gas event, or the need for a bump test.

Loud Alarms

Auditory and vibrating alarms, combined with highly visible red LED around the face of the detector, make it easy to see and hear any alarms.

Ease Of Configuration and Use Anywhere

Tracking Made Simple

Assigning detectors to workers or to locations makes tracking and monitoring easy and fast.

Rolling 24-Hour Peak Gas Readings

Having data on peak gas readings under the alarm set point over a rolling 24-hour period is essential to prevent potential problems. The Honeywell BW™ Solo provides this data to help make workplaces safer.

Multi-Language Capability

Used across the globe, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers gas reading data in all major languages.
