Gas detection for the new generation
Service and operation that is practical and easy Sensor options for specific job requirements Replacing the GasAlert Extreme and the ToxiPro®,the Honeywell BW™ Solo provides a range of new features as well as the benefits of the older detectors. The choice of the Honeywell BW™ Solo provides:
|
Compact Design
For any job, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers both high levels of reliability and accuracy, as well as a compact size and lightweight design for use in any location.
Ease of Use
For any gas detection system to be effective, it must be easy to use in the field. The Honeywell BW™ Solo is designed to allow for quick change out of components, without the need for any tools. The door opens to change the sensor filters, and battery and sensor replacement is just as easy.
Full Range of Sensor Options
The Honeywell BW™ Solo can be used across all industries, including in the petrochemical, steel manufacturing, and in power plants. With the sensor options, this small, compact and easy to use detector is able to identify a full range of gases including hydrogen, nitrogen oxide, ozone, hydrogen cyanide, sulfur dioxide, and ammonia.
In addition, the sensor can be used for the detection of:
- Hydrogen sulfide
- Nitrogen dioxide
- Phosphine
- Chlorine dioxide
- Carbon monoxide
- Oxygen
- Chlorine
- Ethylene oxide
Introducing The 1-Series Sensor
The 1-Series sensor is a revolutionary, next-generation sensor that provides fast results in even the most challenging working environments. It offers a long duty cycle combined with proven reliability.
Design Benefits
The new design and shape of the 1-Series sensor provides a smaller, slimmer profile with a unique square design. With a height that is one-third of other sensors on the market, it offers rapid diffuses of gases for a fast, accurate reading.
Warranty and Sensor Life
In the past, sensors required constant downtime. To address this issue, the new Honeywell BW™ Solo provides up to five years of sensor life and a warranty of three years. Combining these two factors not only reduced downtime but helps to reduce the cost of operation of each sensor.
Reliability and Dependability in One
Designed and developed by the Honeywell company, City Technology, the 1-Series sensor is the latest in a long line of quality sensors developed in-house. City Technology was responsible for the development of the 40VW and the 40XLL oxygen sensors that are used in the popular Honeywell BW detection systems.
Used in All Environments
The 1-Series sensor is highly accurate and effective in all types of environments. As a handheld sensor, it offers accurate readings in temperature ranges from -40°C to 60°C. It can be used in hazardous environments and where humidity and transient pressure may be a factor.
Easy Sensor Replacement
Thanks to advanced design features, switching out the 1-Series sensor is simple. There is no need to expose the PCB (printed circuit board), making it easy to switch out sensors in the field and on the job.Data Sharing Made Easy
For easy data sharing and optimal safety, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is fully compatible with the IntelliDox docking station system as well as the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software.
The IntelliDox Advantage
The use of the IntelliDox docking station system makes it easy to perform tests and transfer information. The detector is placed into the docking station, allowing for automatic transfer of data as well as the option to perform various actions.
The docking station provides the options to do a bump test, complete calibration, set bump reminders, change the set points, and to complete any firmware updates required.
IntelliDox can be used as a single dock, or it can be grouped with up to four other IntelliDox stations. Each independent docking station as a dedicated LCD screen, pump, and keypad, but shares calibration gas and power.
Windows-Based Software
To provide full compliance, the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software allows easy access to data, with the ability to export data from the detectors. The software makes it convenient and configure system alarm set points and to ensure all systems are up to date on the latest firmware version.
Moving to the Cloud
Honeywell offers a cloud-based monitoring option as well with the Honeywell BW™ Solo. The Honeywell SafetySuite Device Manager offers the following:
- Immediate access to data and alarms on all detectors across the system in real-time.
- Increased versatility in data reporting
- Full communication in the form of emails and text messages as to any alarms
- One central storage area for all reports, making audits and investigations much easier.
- Additional compliance features to enhance your program.
Your Smartphone can now control the Honeywell BW™ Solo for maximum convenience and fast response.
The wireless feature in the Honeywell Connected Worker portfolio boosts compliance, safety, as well as worksite productivity. |
The Advantages of A Mobile App
For anyone working across multiple job sites, using a smartphone to control the Honeywell BW™ Solo allows for maximum productivity. The Device Configurator app is ideal for configuration and deployment of the detector and is effective at distances of up to six meters away. Our systems use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), so they are not a drain on your phone. The app is an effective way to check and review any bump and calibration data. This feature allows for a certificate to be emailed to stakeholders from the app to indicate the gas, the readings, and who performed the calibration. The app also makes it handy to upgrade firmware as needed.
The Bluetooth Advantage
Even if you don't have IntelliDoxdocking stations, BLE allows for sharing of data with the software on your desktop. This is a low-cost way to manage data across the fleet.
Safety Monitoring Made Easy
Loading the Safety Communicator app on smartphones allows for real-time reading of data without the need to dock the detector. When paired with the Honeywell apps, your smartphone becomes a monitoring system, providing immediate information on where workers are located and their safety.
Designed with Safety and Compliance in Mind
Single Button Control
No matter where you are working or if you are wearing safety equipment and gloves, operation of the Honeywell BW™ Solo is a one-button operation. The detector can be controlled through the software or with the push of a button, allowing for all alarms, set points and parameters to be easily controlled.
The button also allows for STEL or short-term exposure limit TWA time-weighted average results. Information on the highest concentration of the tested gas is also provided over the previous 24 hours.
Visible Safety
The IntelliFlash™ system allows for the green flashing light to show the detector ass been bump tested and is compliance with monitoring requirements. The noncompliance flash, which is a red blinking light, indicates the need for a battery replacement, a bump test, or if calibration is required. This is also used to signal a detected gas event.
Visual and Audible Alarms
With safety as a priority, the design of the Honeywell BW™ Solo includes red LED lights around the detector along with both ringing and vibrating alarms, ensuring the alarm is seen and heard in any working environment.Practical and Convenient
Immediate Response
With the ability to assign the Honeywell BW™ Solo to workers or in specific locations, a gas event is easy to pinpoint.
Data and Recording
The Honeywell BW™ Solo is designed to allow peak readings of the highest gas level in the past 24 hours. These are not gas events or alarms, but the highest reading for early detection of possible issues.
Multiple Languages
As a global supplier of detection systems, the Honeywell BW™ Solo can be configured for readings in a number of different languages. These include English, Russian, French, Japanese, and Korean, among others.
