A New Generation of Portable Gas Detection
A full selection of sensor options in an easy to service and operate detector.
As a replacement for the ToxiPro®and the GasAlert Extreme, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is the next-generation in detectors for safety, compliance, and productivity. Adding this solution to your fleet will provide:
|
Durable and Compact
Small and streamlined, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is easy to use, helping to ensure compliance in any workplace.
Low Cost, Long Life, Easy Service
Thanks to a practical design, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is easy to work on in the field. Removing a door on the front is all that is needed to change out sensor filters, replace the battery, or change the sensor – without the need for any tools.
Range of Sensor Options
No matter where you may be working, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers the sensor you need to measure both typical or less common types of hazards. Use this sensor for the detection of:
- Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
- Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
- Hydrogen (H2)
- Ammonia (NH3)
- Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
- Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)
- Ozone (O3)
- Ethylene oxide (ETO)
- Phosphine (PH3)
- Nitrogen oxide (NO)
- Chlorine dioxide (ClO2)
It also provides detection for common gases such as Carbon monoxide (CO), Oxygen (O2), Hydrogen (H2) and Chlorine (Cl2).
Getting To Know The 1-Series Sensor
Are you interested in increasing accuracy and lowering the cost of detection while also increasing worker safety? If you are, the 1-Series sensor offers reliability, long duty and life cycle, and a fast response for readings in any type of environment.
Detecting CO, O2, and H2S
The square design of the 1-Series sensor allows for fast diffusion of the gas in the sensor, all with a small, square design. More compact than other detectors, it is less than half the size of other sensors on the market.
3-Year Warranty with a 5-Year Sensor Life
Based on typical use, the 1-Series sensor offers up to a 5-year sensor life and the benefit of a full three-year warranty. This helps to extend the duty cycle of the sensors, reducing the cost of ownership while keeping equipment up and running.
Experienced Sensor Development by Honeywell
The 1-Series is designed and manufactured by City Technologies, which is a Honeywell company. City Technologies has over 4 decades of developing top sensors, including the 40xLL long-life and the 40XV oxygen sensors for the Honeywell BW.
Accurate Readings without Unnecessary Alarms
In temperatures from -40°C to 60°C, the 1-Series sensor provides a reliable source of highly accurate readings. It is also an effective detector in environments where transient pressure or high humidity is a problem for other detectors.
Simple Sensor Replacement
The design of the sensor eliminates the need to access the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) during sensor replacement. Just pop it open and switch out the sensor, all without the need for special tools.
Efficient Fleet Management and Centralized Data Collection
As a system, the use of the Honeywell BW™ Solo, IntelliDox, and Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator make it easy to manage data from the entire fleet. At the same time, this also allows for greater safety, productivity, and compliance with industry standards.
Automate RecordKeeping, Testing, and Configuration
The use of IntelliDox technology and docking stations makes it easy to automatically transfer and store results from testing as well as complete specific tests and actions. The detector is placed in to dock to:
- Configure and change set points
- Bump test
- Set bump reminders
- Update firmware
- Calibrate the detector
With the use of fleet management software, all data, alarms, and peak readings are easily transferred to a company through a USB or Ethernet connection.
The IntelliDox can be used alone or combined with four other docks into a group. Each dock offers its own control of detectors, as well as a state-of-the-art LCD screen, pump, and individual keypad. Grouped docks share power and calibration gas for efficiency and operational ease.
Adding Device Configurator
The Device Configurator uses Windows-based software, allowing easy data transfer, deployment of firmware updates across the fleet, exporting of data as well as configuration of alarm set points from one central location.
Move to the Cloud
For enhanced control and management for the fleet, upgrade to the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator manager that uses the cloud. This upgrade allows you to:
- See all detectors on one screen for immediate identification of alarms, compliance, and gas events.
- Automated text and email messages of any alarms across the system
- Multiple reporting options
- Centralize report storage and retrieval for audits or as needed
- Increased compliance across multiple sites
Make compliance easy through smartphone management of the detector.
One easy way to boost compliance, safety, and efficiency is to choose the wireless version of the Honeywell BW™ Solo that integrates with the Honeywell Connected Worker portfolio. |
The Advantages of the Mobile App
The Device Configurator is designed to work on a smartphone that has been paired with the HoneywellBW™ Solo. The app allows for configuration of the detector, development of set points and alarms, and even firmware updates using BLE or Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
Is efficiency and compliance important? If so, the mobile app can be used to check data, see readings, and even find out who performed the calibration of the detector as well as information about the gas reading. This is automatically entered into the system, and a certificate can be mailed to those who require a copy.
No Docking Station Needed
The choice to use BLE technology eliminates the need for an IntelliDox. The data can be transferred wirelessly to a desktop computer for easy fleet management.
Monitoring Made Simple
Adding the Safety Communicator app to the smartphone allows for immediate transfer of data without the need for docking. The data is sent to Honeywell monitoring software, and it is available to managers in real-time through the app. For managers, this makes monitoring worker location and safety an efficient process.
Ensure Compliance Through Ease of Use
The Push of a Button
The easier any technology is to use in the field, the greater the levels of compliance. The Honeywell BW™ Solo is easy to operate with the push of a button, even when wearing gloves or protective gear. The single button or the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software makes it simple to set all parameters, alarms, and set points, as well as read short-term exposure limit, time-weighted average, and highest concentrations over the last 24 hours.
Visible Safety and Compliance
A quick glance is all it takes to ensure the Honeywell BW™ Solo is compliant. The IntelliFlash™ can be activated to flash green when the detector is monitoring accurately and has been bump tested.Non-compliance results in a blinking red light, letting you know the detector has a low battery, there has been a gas event, or the system needs calibration or a bump test.
Getting Noticed
The use of flashing lights, audible alarms, and vibration makes it easy to notice if there is an issue or any danger in any type of environment.
Designed to be Practical
Easy Monitoring
The detectors can be linked to workers or locations, making it easy to find the problem area in a gas event.
Rolling 24-Hour Readings
Rolling 24-hour readings provide information on the peak gas reading, even without an alarm. This gives you the heads up for potential trouble spots in the system.
Worldwide Use
Used in countries around the world, the Honeywell BW™ Solo can display gas readings in all major languages.
