16770 TP1-TK Tripod Installation Kit by WeatherHawk

This kit consists of a multi-axis bubble level device and a compass. The level enables correct multi-axis vertical orientation of a tripod or post such that any WeatherHawk weather station can be easily installed for optimum sensor performance and accuracy. The compass enables an installer to correctly align the wind direction sensor with magnetic North.

Box Size/Wgt: Packed in a plastic bag and boxed as a small item. Less than 1 pound (<0.45 kg). Note: May be packed with other items if ordered as part of a system.

16772 TP1-GK Guy-wire Kit by WeatherHawk

The Guy-wire Kit contains three precut lengths of plastic coated, steel guy-wire cable, and all hardware required to secure the guy-wires to the top of the TP1 tripod mast, and the bottom of the tripod legs. Alternatively, the bottom connection can be made to eye-bolts set into a concrete pad, or other fixed structure. The guy-wire kit is designed for permanent WeatherHawk installations, or for TP1 tripod configurations with two extension poles, or for locations that experience sustained periods of very high wind.

16773 TP1-SK Stake Kit by WeatherHawk

The stake kit consists of three (3) 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) diameter, 24 inch (61 cm) long, solid steel spikes with a welded cap on one end, or three forged steel spikes with similar dimensions. The spikes are to be driven into soil, through holes provided in the TP1 Tripod foot pads. This installation technique effectively anchors the tripod in light to moderate wind, or serves as a temporary installation method. If high winds are anticipated, or a permanent tripod installation is required, it is recommended that the tripod be connected to a concrete pad or other permanent base using bolts and guy-wires.

16775 TP1-GR Grounding Kit by WeatherHawk

The grounding kit consists of a 36 inch (91.4 cm) long copper plated steel electrical ground rod, electrical couplings for connection to the ground rod and the TP1 Tripod, a 5 foot length of plastic coated 00 stranded copper cable, and a three foot length of 14 AWG stranded copper ground wire with a connection lug on one end. This kit enables proper earth grounding of the TP1 Tripod and WeatherHawk weather station if installed by a qualified electrician.

16776 TP1 Tripod/Mast Assembly by WeatherHawk

The TP1 Tripod assembly is constructed of 18 gauge 1008-10 steel tubing, galvanized using the Flo-Coat (zinc-chromate-polymer) process for excellent corrosion protection. Ungalvanized leg braces, mast collars, & connecting components are gold irridited for corrosion protection. Mast collars feature a captive "stop-nut" design, to eliminate lock nut spin when tightened; and a mast supporting cup for additional stability. Tripod height 33 inches (85.8 cm). Supplied with one post for an assembly height to the wind sensors of 58 inches (150.8 cm), and an adjustment range of 41 to 58 inches (106.6 to 150.8 cm).

21522 Flat Roof Mount (Non-penetrating) by WeatherHawk

The non-penetrating mount consists of a galvanized steel tripod assembly, including an angled steel frame base and one mast extension. Designed for flat roof or ground installations, no holes or drilling required. Stabilization and anchoring are achieved with cinder blocks or sandbags.

17488 TP1-EP Tripod Extended Footpads by WeatherHawk

Extended, oversized footpads that enable the use of sandbags to stabilize a WeatherHawk weather station tripod for temporary site locations or quick response applications.

Just site the tripod, establish proper orientation and drop a sandbag on each footpad. No need to drive difficult to remove ground stakes.
