Making portable single-gas detection simple and efficient.
Sensor options, easy of use, and next-generation technology.
Including all of the features of the ToxiPro® and the GasAlert Extreme detectors, the new Honeywell BW™ Solo will:
|
Compact and accurate
The Honeywell BW™ Solo is extremely user-friendly with a lightweight profile and compact design, coupled with reliability and accuracy.
Low-cost operation over a longer life cycle
Struggling to change out sensors or replace batteries? This is no longer a concern with the Honeywell BW™ Solo. Just pop off the compartment lid to change the sensor filter, with the battery and sensor also easy to replace.
Sensors for standard and exotic gas
Whether you need to test a single gas in a petrochemical plant or a steel manufacturing facility, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers the right sensor for the job. In addition to oxygen, hydrogen, ammonia, and sulfur dioxide, the detector has sensors for:
- Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
- Chlorine (Cl2)
- Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
- Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)
- Ozone (O3)
- Ethylene oxide (ETO)
- Phosphine (PH3)
- Nitrogen oxide (NO)
- Chlorine dioxide (ClO2)
A single-gas detector using the revolutionary 1-Series sensor for increased safety, accuracy and cost-savings.
Ideal for monitoring the most monitored gases, the next-generation 1-Series sensor is designed to continue to provide accuracy and reliability even in harsh and challenging environments.
Standard Gases – Fast Response
The 1-Series sensor offers a rapid diffusion square design and a height that is just a third of other sensors on the market. In a compact package, it is able to detect CO, H2S, and O2, with more gas types on the way.
Reduced cost of ownership with a 3-year warranty and 5-year sensor life.
With typical gas detection use, the 1-Series sensor performs for up to 5-years, eliminating the cost of replacement and downtime issues with other sensors. Coupled with a 3-year warranty, this provides confidence in investing in this technology.
Developed by Honeywell
As one of the Honeywell companies, City Technology developed the 1-Series sensor for quality and performance. City Technologies has 4 decades in the industry and produced the 40XXV and the 40xLL oxygen sensors that are used in the BW detectors by Honeywell.
Accuracy and reliability
Tired of nuisance alarms on detectors? In temperatures from -40°C to 60°C, the Honeywell BW™ Solo performs accurately, eliminating nuisance, even in extreme environments with transient pressure and high humidity.Easy sensor replacement
Need to change out sensors in the field? With the 1-Series sensor, it is as simple as taking out the old and putting in the new, no breakdown or reassembly required.
Managing Data and Automating Fleet Management Made Easy
Combining the Honeywell BW™ Solo with the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software and the IntelliDox maximizes compliance, productivity, and safety.
Managing data, configurating and recordkeeping with IntelliDox
The IntelliDox docking station allows easy data transfer with automated actions to transfer test results, complete bump tests, set bump reminders, complete calibration, and modifying set points as well as managing firmware updates. The software also provides transfer of all data, including peak readings and alarms, using an Ethernet or USB connection.
Multiple detectors are no problem. The IntelliDox docks can be grouped in numbers up to five, each with its own LCD screen, pump, and keypad, while sharing power and calibration gas for increased efficiency.
Concise compliance monitoring with Device Configurator
Device Configurator is Windows-based software that allows you to configure alarms, view and transfer data, and to manage all firmware updates from your computer - leading to increased compliance across all sites.
Moving to the Cloud
Yet another option to consider is the use of the cloud-based subscription offered through the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Manager. This allows you to use the cloud to:
- Customize and use specific features to streamline compliance
- Create reports as needed
- Receive email or text messages of alarms in real-time
- Have the ability to see all detectors across multiple sites in a user-friendly dashboard, allowing for immediate response to potential or real concerns
Turn your smartphone into a detector manager.
Thanks to apps offered by Honeywell's Connected Worker system and portfolio, your smartphone can be used to wireless increase safety, compliance, and productivity. |
An app for detector setup, configuration and verification of test data.
Any smartphone can be linked to the Honeywell BW™ Solo, and with the use of the Device Configurator app, the Honeywell BW™ Solo can be configured, set points established, firmware updated and many more actions.
This is all done using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which also provides the option to see bump data and calibration results, including who did the last calibration, when it was done, and what the readings were. This data can be entered into a certificate and sent to those requiring the data.
Decease equipment needs by skipping the docking station.
By choosing the wireless connection through the smartphone app, there is no need to have docking stations. The same BLE is used to transfer data from the detector to the desktop software, making it a practical solution for fleet management.
Make safety monitoring effective.
Using the Safety Communicator app allows the safety manager to track data from detectors without needed to be docked. Once paired with the smartphone, the app sends the required readings to a Honeywell monitoring software system, which is then accessed by internet-connected devices. This allows for complete tracking of worker location and safety issues.
Become compliance confident across the operation.
Easy to use detector
In any type of environment, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is designed for easy use. It can be controlled by a one-button system on the job or managed by the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software. In addition to configuring the detector, measurements on short-term exposure limits (STEL) and time-weighted average (TWA), along with peak gas detection readings, are all easy to access.
Visible compliance or out of compliance status
For easy visibility in any type of environment, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is equipped with the IntelliFlash™ system. This provides a blinking green light for compliance, meaning the detector is monitoring and has been bump tested.
Red flashing lights mean out of compliance. This may include a gas event, the requirement for calibration, or the need for a new battery. With both options available, you can choose the option best suited for the job.
Visual and Auditory Alarms
In addition to a loud, robust alarm, the detector also has LEDs around the detector that flash red during an alarm. The detector also vibrates, making it noticeable in any environment.
Practical Operation and Configuration
Keeping track made easy.
To quickly identify a worker or a location where a detector is used or in the event of an alarm, assign detectors throughout the workplace.
Rolling Peak Gas Readings
The Honeywell BW™ Solo is able to maintain a 24-hour rolling peak reading of the gas you want to detect. This allows control of sub-alarm levels that may be associated with problems.
Common Languages
The Honeywell BW™ Solo can be configured to display gas readings in major languages for use around the world.
