BW Technologies BW Solo Single-Gas Detector, (NH3 ext range) Wireless - Black

$698.00

Making portable single-gas detection convenient and accurate.

The next-generation in easy to operate and maintain gas detectors with a full line of sensors.

Offering a replacement for the ToxiPro® and the GasAlert Extreme, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers dependable, accuracy and reliability as well as:

  • Workplace compliance
  • Lower cost of lifetime ownership
  • Wireless connectivity for workers
  • Enhanced protection and safety

Practical, lightweight design

The smaller, compact design of the Honeywell BW™ Solo makes this a practical companion for any worker in any environment.

Low cost, long life, and easy service

Simplicity is the key design element in the Honeywell BW™ Solo. Changing a sensor filter is done through a pop off door in the front of the unit, and sensor and battery replacement is just as simple.

All the sensor you need for common and exotic gas

Used across all industries, including in steel manufacturing, petrochemical plants, and power plants, this sensor can detect:

  • Ammonia (NH3)
  • Carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Chlorine (Cl2)
  • Chlorine dioxide (ClO2)
  • Ethylene oxide (ETO)
  • Hydrogen (H2)
  • Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
  • Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)
  • Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
  • Nitrogen oxide (NO)
  • Oxygen (O2)
  • Ozone (O3)
  • Phosphine (PH3)
  • Sulfur dioxide (SO2)

The foremost single-gas detector to use the 1-Series sensor for increased performance, accuracy, and safety.

As a next-generation sensor, the 1-Series sensor is the optimal sensor in any environment, offering long life, top performance, and fast response.

Detecting CO, H2S, and O2 – with more to come

With a sensor that is about one-third the size of others in the industry, as well as a unique square shape, the design of the detector is small and compact. The square shape also allows faster gas diffusion for more rapid response times.

3-year warranty coupled with up to 5-year sensor life

For the lower cost of ownership, less downtime, and fewer sensor replacement requirements, the 1-Series sensor cannot be beaten. With typical gas exposure, the sensor lasts up to 5 years, and the 3-year warranty offers peace of mind.

Developed in-house.

Developed by Honeywell company City Technology, the 1-Series sensor has over 40 years of sensor expertise and experience behind its design. It is crafted with reliability and quality in mind, similar to the City Technology's 40xLL and the 40VX oxygen sensors in the Honeywell BW.

End nuisance alarms across environments.

The 1-Series sensor is tested to work in environments where high humidity, transient pressure, and temperatures from -40°C to 60°C are factors to consider. With proven accuracy in even the most demanding environments, these are the ideal sensors for any location.

Sensor switch-out without any risk of damage.

As a practical design feature, the 1-Series sensor allows for the replacement of sensors without any exposure to the printed circuit board, making the process easy and safe.

Add efficiency with centralized data and fleet management automation.

Combining the features of the Honeywell BW™ Solo, IntelliDox, and Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software offers increased compliance, productivity, and safety.

The IntelliDox docking solution for automation

The IntelliDox dock allows you to connect the Honeywell BW™ Solo and complete a range of automated tasks, including data transfer, bump tests, changing set points for alarms, and completing calibration and bump reminders. It is also an ideal option for updating firmware. Using the fleet management software ensures that all peak readings, alarms, and required data can be quickly transmitted using USB or Ethernet.

Grouping up to five IntelliDox docks allows for individual detector operation with shared power and calibration gas. All docks come with a state-of-the-art LCD screen, pump, and keypad for easy operation.

Device Configurator software

The Windows-based Device Configurator software allows for export and viewing of data, configuration of the detector, and firmware updates all from your computer. This makes fleet management compliance, productivity, and safety much more manageable.

Added benefits with the cloud-based Honeywell SafetySuite Device Manager

Subscribing to the cloud-based technology offered by Honeywell SafetySuite Device Manager allows you to:

  • See all detectors, alarms, and compliance status on one dashboard for quick identification of problems and gas events.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Store reports in a centralized location for easy retrieval for investigations and audits.
  • Receive real-time alarm notifications via text or email.
  • Add compliance features.

Increase convenience and operation simplicity with smartphone control of the Honeywell BW™ Solo.

As a central part of the Connected Worker portfolio available through Honeywell, the wireless version increases convenience and safety.

Get the app to setup, configure, and verify.

For any worker with a smartphone, simply pairing the Honeywell BW™ Solo and using the Device Configurator app is an effective way to setup, configure and adjust all parameters of the detector, as well as complete firmware updates. The technology uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and can be operated from up to 6 meters away from the detector.

The app can review calibration and bump data, and even see who completed the calibration, when it was done, and the specific gas. This information can also be emailed in a certified to required stakeholders.

Connect without a docking station.

For larger fleets, using a smartphone app eliminates the need for the IntelliDox docking station. This allows easy sharing of data through the cost-effective app format.

Remote safety monitoring.

Knowing what is happening in real-time is important for safety managers, and the app allows this without the need to dock the detector. Data is sent through the Safety Communicator app to the real-time Honeywell monitoring software. Information is then available through any internet-connected device for worker location and safety.

Operational ease for increased compliance throughout the workplace.

Single-button control and operation

Working in the field often means gloves and safety gear, and the Honeywell BW™ Solo takes this into consideration with easy one-button control, ideal for use with gloves. In addition, the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software can also be used to configure, adjust, and set parameters on the detector. It is also simple to access data on STEL (short-term exposure limits), TWA (time-weighted average), and peak gas readings over a rolling 24 hours.

Visible confirmation of detector compliance or noncompliance

The Honeywell BW™ Solo can be set up to show compliance or out of compliance status. Compliance status is indicated by green lights when the IntelliFlash™ is activated, which means it is operating correctly and has been bump tested.

The option to monitor for noncompliance is also done through the IntelliFlash™ feature. This is a flashing red light on the detector that indicates a gas event, the need for calibration, or the need for a new battery.

Variety of alarms to hear and see

When an alarm occurs, the Honeywell BW™ Solo illuminates with red LED lights around the screen. In addition, the detector vibrates while also emitting a loud alarm that is easy to hear and see in any environment.

Configure and use the detector with ease.

Track locations and workers

The detector can be assigned to locations or workers for rapid detection of alarms and gas events.

Rolling 24-hour peak readings

High gas readings under the level to trigger the alarm can be monitored with the rolling 24-hour peak reading record. This is essential to determine potential safety issues before they are serious concerns.

Display in major languages

The Honeywell BW™ Solo offers data on the screen in a range of different major languages for efficiency and safety.
