Optimal Single-Gas Detection With Next-Generation Technology

Sensor options combined with a system that is easy to service and to operate in the field.

The next-generation of single-gas detection is here with the Honeywell BW™ Solo. Replacing the GasAlert Extreme and the ToxiPro®this sensor offers:

  • Increased worker safety
  • Enhanced compliance
  • New levels of protection
  • Lower cost of purchase and operation

Practical to Use

Small and lightweight, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is convenient, functional, and easy to use in any work environment.

Low Cost, Long Life

The Honeywell BW™ Solo design allows for easy replacement of sensor filters, batteries, and sensors. Just pop off the panel door – no need for special tools.

Common and Exotic Gas Sensors

In power and petrochemical plants, as well as in manufacturing or other industrial environments, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers the right sensor for the job. Both common and exotic gas sensors are included with the detector, including:

  • Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
  • Carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
  • Hydrogen (H2)
  • Oxygen (O2)
  • Ozone (O3)
  • Phosphine (PH3)
  • Ammonia (NH3)
  • Chlorine (Cl2)
  • Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
  • Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)
  • Ethylene oxide (ETO)
  • Phosphine (PH3)
  • Nitrogen oxide (NO)
  • Chlorine dioxide (ClO2)

Maximizing Safety With The 1-Series Sensor

The Honeywell BW™ Solo is the first portable, single-gas detector to come with the 1-Series sensor. This is a proven performer in even the most difficult conditions, and with next-generation technology, the 1-Series sensor is the right choice.

Faster Reading and Response

Currently, the 1-Series sensor is available for use with CO, H2S, and O2, with additional sensors for other gases soon available. It has a square design, about one-third of the size of other sensors, making it both effective as well as streamlined.

Exceptional Life

With typical exposure to gas, the 1-Series sensor can last up to five years without any need for replacement and downtime for the equipment. It also offers a three-year warranty, providing peace of mind with the purchase.

A Honeywell Company Product

The 1-Series sensor was designed and developed by the Honeywell company, City Technology. With over four decades of sensor manufacturing experience, they are also the company responsible for the 40xLL and the 40XV oxygen sensors used in the Honeywell BW.

Reliable Performance

Tired of nuisance alarms and unreliable readings? These are the thing of the past with the Honeywell BW™ Solo, which is proven in harsh, humid, and transient pressure environments, as well as in temperatures from -40°C to 60°C.

Keep Sensor Downtime Low

Need to change out the sensor? This is a simple, easy, and very quick task - just remove the old sensor and drop in the new, no need to expose the sensor printed circuit board or internal component.

Streamline Your Fleet and Centralize Data Management

Designed to be used with different technologies, the Honeywell BW™ Solo can be used with an IntelliDox docking statio and the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator for maximum efficiency as well as fleet management.

The IntelliDox Advantage

The IntelliDox dock is designed to hold the detector and automatically transfer the data and test results. It can also be configured to perform any desired actions automatically, increasing efficiency. These actions include:

  • Bump tests and reminders
  • Calibration
  • Modification of set points
  • Firmware updates

Data about peak readings and alarms are transferred to a computer from the IntelliDox by Ethernet or USB connection. Grouping up to five IntelliDox still allows for individual use, while each dock has its own LCD screen, keypad, and pump. Grouped IntelliDox share calibration gas and power for ease of operation.

Centralize Compliance Made Simple

Utilizing Windows-based software, data can be exported and viewed on any Windows computer. The computer can also be used to configure the detector, upgrade firmware, and ensure full compliance across the fleet.

Utilize the Power of the Cloud

Choosing to subscribe to Honeywell SafetySuite Device Manager cloud-based system allows you to:

  • Access information from any internet-connected device
  • Receive immediate alarm notification via email or text
  • Monitor the entire system through easy to navigate dashboards, even with multiple sites
  • Obtain the reports you need
  • Boost compliance across all workplaces

Managing The Detector From Your Smartphone

The Honeywell Connected Worker portfolio integrates the Honeywell BW™ Solo, allowing wireless control of the detection for increased compliance, safety, and worker productivity.

The Power of the Mobile App

The Device Configurator app puts the control of the Honeywell BW™ Solo right on your smartphone.

The app can be used in the configuration, alarm setup, firmware updates, and the control of the detector from up to 6 meters using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology.

The app allows you to review bump and calibration data, to see the last gas tested and who ran the test, as well as to see the actual readings. This information can be placed on a certificate and emailed to the necessary stakeholders, all from the app.

Send Data to a Desktop Without IntelliDox

The use of BLE allows the wireless transfer of data from the Honeywell BW™ Solo to a desktop without the need for a docking station. This is an ideal option for a larger fleet, eliminating the need for docking stations.

Worker Safety is First

The Honeywell Safety Communicator app allows access to vital information without the need for docking. This provides gas readings and other vital data to monitoring software in real-time. Safety and fleet managers can access this information from any internet-connected device from any remote location.

Working Towards Full Safety and Compliance Across the Workplace

Easy Field Operation

The Honeywell BW™ Solo is designed to work in all types of environments. This includes one-button operation of the detector, eliminating the need to remove safety gloves to complete the test. The Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator can also be used to control the detector and set all parameters. It also provides data on short-exposure limit (STEL) and time-weighted average (TWA) as well as the peak gas concentration in the last 24 hours.

Visual Safety or Non-Compliance Confirmation

Are you tired of trying to see if a detector is in compliance or not in compliance? The Honeywell BW™ Solo makes this easy with flashing green lights to indicate bump testing and correct monitoring.

Red flashing lights means the detector is not in compliance, which could indicate a battery replacement is needed or the system needs calibration, a bump test, or these has been a gas event.

Auditory Alarms

The load and audible alarm and vibration of the Honeywell BW™ Solo are coupled with a ring of red LEDs around the detector, making it easy to see if an alarm has been trigged in any environment.

Simplicity and Sophistication for Use and Configuration

Know your worker's location

The Honeywell BW™ Solo can be assigned to a specific worker or a location for immediate information on the use of the detector in the event of a gas event.

Peak Reading Data For A Rolling 24-Hours

Peak readings of specific gases that may not reach the alarm threshold are still important to record. The Honeywell BW™ Solo offers a 24-hour rolling peak reading, allowing for early detection of problem areas.

Multiple Language Display

The Honeywell BW™ Solo can be configured to display gas readings in real-time in major languages, including English, Spanish, French, Russian, Korean, Japanese, and many more.
