Introducing the Honeywell BW™ Solo, the next generation in compact single-gas detectors.
Designed to be easy to use, simple to service, and to provide the sensor options you need.
Replacing the GasAlert Extreme and the ToxiPro®, the Honeywell BW™ Solo offers all of their advantages plus it also:
|
Convenient Size
Small, lightweight, and compact, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is easy to use in any work environment, making it a favorite for workers.
Effective Single-Gas Detector
With the combination of the low cost and the long life of the Honeywell BW™ Solo, it is a very effective and reliable gas detector. Need to replace a sensor filter? Just open the door on the front. The same no-tools needed method can be used to change the sensor or the battery.
Single Gas Detection Options
The versatility and ease of sensor switch out on the Honeywell BW™ Solo makes it the ideal detector across any industry. It can be used in the manufacturing and petrochemical industries, as well as in power plants and steel mills to detect the following:
- Ammonia (NH3)
- Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
- Hydrogen (H2)
- Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
- Chlorine (Cl2)
- Chlorine dioxide (ClO2)
- Oxygen (O2)
- Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
- Nitrogen oxide (NO)
- Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
- Ozone (O3)
- Ethylene oxide (ETO)
- Phosphine (PH3)
Increase worker safety with the 1-Series sensor for lower operating costs, higher reading accuracy, and faster response.
When fast response, long life, and the ability to provide dependable results in critical, look no further than the 1-Series sensor for common gases.
Oxygen, Hydrogen Sulfide, and Carbon Monoxide
Currently, the 1-Series sensor is available for use with CO, H2S, and O2. With the unique square design that allows for rapid gas diffusion, it offers fast response times with a streamlined, low-profile sensor. At just a third of the height of other sensors, it is much easier to work with.
Sensor Life and Warranty
Based on typical use and gas exposure, the 1-Series sensor can last up to five years, lowering the cost of ownership while also limited downtime. It also comes with a three-year warranty, protecting your investment.
Developed by Honeywell
City Technology, a company with over 40 years in the sensor industry, is a Honeywell company. By utilizing this experienced in-house company, we are able to offer the next-generation in reliability and quality. City Technology is the company responsible for the 40XV and 40xLL oxygen sensor used with our Honeywell BW detector.
Stop Nuisance Alarms
Designed to provide accurate readings in temperatures from -40°C to 60°C, as well as in environments where humidity and transient pressure are a concern, the Honeywell BW™ Solo is accurate and dependable.
Designed to Use in the Field
Practically designed, workers can easily change out the sensor in the field without the need for any special equipment or exposing the printed circuit board to the environment. It is a simple step of removing the old sensor and replacing it with the new.
Automate, centralize, and streamline with fleet management options.
The Honeywell BW™ Solo, Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software, and the IntelliDox can be used in different ways to boost productivity, compliance, and safety.
Using the docking station for testing, configuration and recordkeeping – fully automated
To use, simply place the Honeywell BW™ Solo into the docking station. The system automatically transfers data and completes any pre-selected actions. These actions include bump reminders and bump tests, modifying set points, updating firmware, or other types of options. The software used for fleet management also automatically sends all peak readings and alarms by USB or Ethernet to your computer.
The IntelliDox docks can also be grouped up to five docks. Each has its own pump, keypad, and LCD screen, but they can be configured to operate in sync or as standalone controls, sharing power, and calibration gas.
The Device Configurator
Device Configurator software is Windows-based and allows the user to see and to transfer detector information and data, manage alarm set points, set up firmware updates, and improve compliance, safety, and productivity.
Expanded access through the Cloud
Opting to use the subscription service of the cloud-based Honeywell SafetySuite Device Manager allows for:
- Complete visibility through a single dashboard for all alarms and compliance of detectors throughout the entire system, including in multiple sites and locations.
- Reporting options customized to your needs
- Notification by text or email of alarms in real-time
- Additional compliance benefits and features
- Single location storage for all data needed in audits, reporting or investigations
The ease of Smartphone control and detector management.
Through apps in the Honeywell Connected Worker portfolio, the Honeywell BW™ Solo can be controlled through wireless technology. |
On the Go Control
Downloading and pairing the Honeywell BW™ Solo with any smartphone allows for full control through the Device Configurator app. This app allows the user to setup, configure, and verify test data from distances of up to six meters away using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology.
With the app, it is easy to check data, including calibration and bump data, as well as see who performed the calibration, what gas was used, and the readings. In addition, the app can create a certificate and mail it to the required stakeholders, just verify it is available during the launch.
Eliminate Docking Requirements
Using the wireless technology offered with the Honeywell BW™ Solo eliminates the needs for the added equipment and costs of docking stations. The app transmits the data directly to the desktop software, all using BLE.
Enhance Monitoring Ability
The Safety Communicator app by Honeywell also allows data to be shared with monitoring software. This is also a technology that does not require docking, providing real-time information to be accessed by any remote device with an internet connection. Safety managers can easily keep track of workers and safety issues.
Making Safety and Compliance a Reality
Control at the Push of a Button
The Honeywell BW™ Solo can be controlled by the Honeywell SafetySuite Device Configurator software, or it can be manually controlled with a simply one-button operation. This makes it easy to use in any workplace, even when wearing gloves, which increases both compliance and safety.
Information at a Glance
The use of Honeywell IntelliFlash™ allows for quick visual confirmation the detector is either in compliance or not in compliance. Activating the IntelliFlash™ provides a green flashing light when the system is in compliance, and a red blinking light if it is not.
Out of compliance can be caused by battery issues, a gas event, or if the detector needs bump testing or calibration.
Loud Auditory Alarms and Visual Signals
If there is an alarm on the Honeywell BW™ Solo, it is loud and visual. With both vibration and auditory alarms, as well as red lights around the detector, even noisy environments become safer.
Making Operation Easy
Know the position of detectors and workers
Assigning and pairing detectors with locations or workers allows for immediate understanding of where the detector is located.
Peak Readings over 24 Hours
Offer a rolling 24-hour peak reading measurement; it is possible to find trouble issues before they become problematic. The peak reading is often well below the alarm set point, but it is critical to detect problems early.
Language Capabilities
For use in all areas of the world, the Honeywell BW™ Solo can be configured to provide readings in all major languages.
