The detailed instructions that come with this kit are clear and presumably must be followed carefully in order to get results. Since I have no independent way to verify the results I obtained, I guess I cannot say with any certainty that the test kit is accurate or not accurate. However, everything appeared to work as it should when I ran the first test, and I did not have trouble reading the results. If you are colorblind, be aware that you will need someone who is not colorblind to read the test results, since the test uses color matching in order to get a reading on the concentration of arsenic. This particular kit contains material enough to repeat the test once. If you want to be able to test things like the water your rice has cooked in, you might want to get a larger mini-kit from the same company. They make one that contains five tests instead of two, making the cost per test considerably less.
