Honeywell International is a company with a diverse array of technology and manufacturing products. With over 200 collective years of experience, Honeywell utilizes its specially trained team of scientists and engineers to design products and solutions for workplace safety and gas detection. Every Honeywell product utilizes advanced technology and Honeywell works vigorously to provide updates and upgrades to ensure that customers always have access to the most cutting edge technologies. The Series 3000 MKII represents this commitment to advanced technologies and workplace innovation.
Series 3000 MKII
The rugged and reliable Series 3000 MKII is applicable to a wide variety of worksite including oil and gas worksites, refineries, power plants, and other environments with potentially explosive atmospheres. Its proven electrochemical sensor technology ensures fast and reliable readings. The Series 3000 MKII is a replacement for the popular Series 3000 XPIS and provides some added features including 2 cable gland/conduit entries and more useable aluminum or stainless steel enclosures. The new unit is designed to detect toxic gases or oxygen hazards in potentially hazardous environments.
Reduce Costs for Installation and Maintenance
The Series 3000 MKII is able to save companies money by reducing installation and maintenance costs. With the universal mounting bracket included in a standard purchase, worksites can install the unit without assistant. Additionally, field wiring can run along with other instruments because the transmitter is explosion proof. Finally, the plug in style of the smart sensor eliminates the cost of wiring installation. As an added bonus, users can program the calibration frequency and utilize the fault diagnostic software to identify problems without needing to pay for a maintenance professional.
For convenience, the sensor interface is intrinsically safe. This allows it to be "hot swapped" without having to remove power to the gas detector. Additionally, the replacements for the stainless steel smart sensors are pre-calibrated allowing for an easy exchange. Each sensor is rated for over 2 years of life.
Specifications
The unit weighs approximately 3.75 pounds in the aluminum version and 8.16 pounds in the stainless steel version. Typical dimensions are 4.7" x 7.9" x 3.9". The unit is encased in a durable dust resistant and water resistant housing. The unit uses very little power and operates on an industry standard 2-wire, 4-20mAloop. For easy installation, the Series 3000 MKII comes standard with all necessary accessories and can be mounted on a wall or support pole using the provided universal bracket. The unit can also be installed electrically by using a conduit or cable with an appropriate mechanical protection.
The Series 3000 MKII is available with a variety of optional accessories for worksite customization. Optional accessories include a remote sensor mounting kit (which allows the sensor to be mounted up to 50 feet from the transmitter), a duct mounting kit, a pipe mounting bracket, a sunshade, a calibration cup to apply test gases, and a collecting cone.
