The HI 2315 Bench-Top Conductivity Meter is a multi-range meter with built-in automatic temperature compensation for testing Conductivity. The HI 2315 replaces EC 215 and features a large, easy to read LCD, solution holders and an attractive redesigned case.

The HI 2315 utilizes a four ring potentiometric probe with platinum sensor that offers greater versatility and accuracy over amperometric designs.

A potentiometric probe works on the principal of induction which eliminates the effects of polarization (a common problem of amperometric systems). Two outer rings apply an alternating voltage and induce a current loop in the solution while two inner rings measure the voltage drop induced by the current loop (which is dependent on the conductivity of the solution). By utilizing the 4-ring method, it is possible to measure very low to high conductivity levels (up to 200 mS/cm) without changing probes.

Features in Depth:

Four ring probe - This allows for 1 probe to measure 4 ranges with no polarization effect. It provides an increased accuracy (1% F.S.) over amperometric style meters.

Manual adjustable temperature correction coefficient (ß = Beta) - This simple to use feature allows for different temperature correction coefficients to be used based on the sample being tested. It is adjustable from 0-2.5%/°C.

Automatic Temperature Compensation - This helps provide the HI 2315 with higher accuracy since conductivity is very sensitive to temperature variations.

Large LCD - The new, larger LCD is bright and easy to read.

Built-in Solution Holders - The HI 2315 has solution holders built into the casing. This convenient feature saves space and prevents solutions from tipping over.

Recessed Connector Bay - Protects connectors from liquids.
