VN00802 X-zone 5800 Area Monitor, CATEX,H2S/CO-LC,SO2,O2,NIMH by Draeger
State-of-the-art area monitoring – the Draeger X-zone® 5800 in combination with the Draeger X-am® 5000, 5100, 5600, and 5800 gas detectors can be used for the measurement of up to six gases. The internal pump and continuous power supply in the explosive area of Zone 0 / C1D1 extend the range of applications in mobile gas detection technology.
Area monitor
- ?Combination with Draeger X-am® 5000, 5100, 5600 or 5800 – measurement of up to 6 gases
- Extensive area/fenceline monitoring up to 25 devices
- Option for permanent power supply in explosive areas (zone 1 / C1D1)
Innovative area monitoring
Even from a distance, the illuminated green LED ring indicates the air is free of monitored toxics and combustible gases. Upon detection of gas hazards, the LED color changes from green to red, thus providing a clear visual warning that gas is present. Additionally, a loud and highly audible evacuation alarm is emitted. The Draeger X-zone 5800 gas entry location permits gas to diffuse into the Draeger X-am 5000, 5100, 5600 and 5800 from all sides.
Wireless fenceline
Up to 25 Draeger X-zone 5800s can be automatically interconnected to form a wireless fenceline. The interconnection of the area monitoring devices allows for rapid establishment of safety networks for larger areas.
A Draeger X-zone 5800 area monitor detecting a gas alarm transmits the alarm signal to all interconnected units. A red flashing alarm in the unit detecting the gas contrasts with alternating red and green flashing alarms of the connected units. This provides simple recognition of alarm status and the actual location of the hazard.
With the corresponding configuration, the maximum gas concentration in the monitored area is shown on the display. Combined with the display of the X-zone ID a clear containment of the hazard area is possible.
Continuous operation of the X-zone for up to 120 hours – or even longer
The 24 Ah battery of the Draeger X-zone 5800 provides up to 120 hours of continuous operation – up to a complete working week.
The Power Supply Ex is available for continuous use of the X-zone 5800. It offers a 50 m (164 ft) supply from a safe area to a potentially explosive area and is approved for use with the X-Zone 5800 in zone 0 / C1D1 areas.
For safe transport, the cable of the Power Supply X is rolled up on a cable drum with the integrated power supply.
Pump or diffusion mode – suitable for your respective application
The X-zone 5800 offers two options for sampling gas: remote pump from 30 m (98 ft) for Zone 0 or diffusion. The pump or diffusion cover plate can be changed without tools.
Other benefits
- ?360° gas entry
- Approval for Ex Zone 0 / C1D1 areas
- Individually configurable with the Draeger CC-Vision PC software (e.g. alarm frequency)
- Inductive charging station: easy and convenient non-contact charging (outside the Ex-area)
Interfaces
?The interfaces on the back of the device offer the possibility of switching actuators in case of alarms by means of the configurable relay. The interface can also directly forward device data, such as measured values of sensors and alarms, via Modbus protocol. This allows you to integrate the devices into existing evaluation units.
