Capacitor return motorized ball valves are recommended for cooling tower bleed applications. These fully ported valves pass suspended solids more efficiently than solenoid valves, thus are less likely to stick open or closed. Maintenance requirements are reduced and reliability issignificantly increased. Chemical treatment programs are more effective because total dissolved solids (TDS) stay in the target control range.
