Many situations require noise level to be measured over an extended period in outdoor exposed locations.

The CEL-6723 kit case is a completely waterproof enclosure that can house the CEL-480 logging sound level meter. All of the important accessories to allow measurements for up to week using a rechargeable battery pack can be included in the case.

Optional external mains or battery power supplies allow even longer recordings to be made.

Technical Specifications

The CEL-6723 kit case is constructed from heavy duty plastic molding and is fitted with one waterproof socket for the C6717 microphone extension cable and one waterproof 2 pin DC power socket for an external input from mains power supply or 12 V battery pack such as a vehicle battery for measurements longer than 1 week. Foam cutouts in the case accept the matching acoustic calibrator, 12 V dc 30 Ah rechargeable battery pack, extension cable for the microphone/preamplifier, 12 V dc power cable from battery pack to logging sound level meter. The case can be padlocked using lugs provided once the instrument is setup to prevent tampering. The case can also be padlocked to a post or pole or other fixed object to provide security from theft when left unattended. Case size is approximately 24 x 18 x 9 in and the weight is approximately 10 lbs when the case is empty.
