Exclusive Features

The Casella CEL-240 Digital Sound Level Meter has several exclusive features the render it suitable for everyday tasks in a variety of industrial applications. First, its 2 button operation system is incredibly user friendly, and its large graphic LCD display is easy to read at 128 x 128 pixels. The screen also has a large numeric and analog bar graph display. It also offers a wide range of sound monitoring from 30 to 130 decibels and simultaneously displays the current and the highest noise levels. The unit also automatically calibrates at either 114 or 94 1kHz decibel levels. The meter can be mounted on a tripod for fixed measurement applications and will run for up to 35 hours on its own.

Workplace Applications

The meter covers a full 70 decibels on each low and high measurement range, and the CEL-240 meter is suitable for a variety of industrial applications including:

  • Machinery noise surveys
  • General purpose workplace noise level measurements
  • Assessment of appropriate hearing protectors
  • Compliance with noise ordinances
