Kanomax Handheld Condensation Particle Counter Model 3800
Nanoparticles can pose a great threat to health. Certain ultrafine particles can cause respiratory and lung damage when breathed. Interestingly, previous indoor air quality measurement tools were not able to measure or monitor air particles at such ultrafine sizes. The Kanomax Handheld Condensation Particle Counter Model 3800 is an aerosol research tool with Nano particle counting capabilities. It was designed to fill the gap for nanoparticle detection and help improve the health and safety of those working in those conditions. This particular model utilizes the type of technology that is recommended to detect and monitor nanoparticles in the atmosphere.
Exclusive Kanomax Features
The compact and lightweight unit is highly portable. Additionally, the unit comes standard with software and data logging capabilities. The standard software allows for easy downloads to a PC or laptop through the USB cable and is Windows 7 compatible. The unit has immense record keeping capabilities and can store up to 100,000 measurements. The available extension sampling probe is useful for sampling in hard to reach places. It is also suitable for a variety of applications including indoor air quality investigations, occupational health control, gasket leakage testing, engine exhaust testing, filter testing, and aerosol research.
Kanomax Handheld Condensation Particle Counter Specifications
The handheld particle counter measures particle sizes ranging from .015 to 1 µ m with a concentration range of 0 to 100,000 particles per cubic centimeter. The unit has a flow rate of 100 cc/min for aerosol flow and 700 cc/min for total flow. The absolute pressure sensor ranges between 150 and 1,150 hPa. The particle counter operates with AA alkaline batteries, an Ni-MH battery pack, or an AC adaptor (100-240 volts). The device operates in a temperature range of 50 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The portable handheld unit is compact (dimensions of 4.7 x 5.1 x 11 inches) and lightweight (3.3 pounds). The unit is also available standard with the following accessories:
- Operation Manual
- Carrying Case
- AC Adaptor
- Zero Filter
- PC Community Cable
- Data Processing Software
- Calibration Certificate
The Kanomax Handheld Condensation Particle Counter has several optional accessories that help to enhance the usability and operation of the instrument. The optional accessories include Ni-MH battery, battery charger, thermal printer, printer cable, and sampling probe.
