Honeywell can trace its company roots back nearly 125 years. What started off as a company dedicated to heating technologies has blossomed into an enterprise dedicated to a variety ofsafety, security, and energy solutions. By integrating the most advanced technologies with intuitive designs, Honeywell has established itself as an industry leader in workplace safety products and gas detection solutions. The company’s commitment to advancement and growth help pave the way for innovation and creativity in design. The Sensepoint XCD detection system is the epitome of product advancement. Building on 125 years of industry experience, Honeywell has introduced a comprehensive monitoring system that is reliable, dependable, and state of the art.
Sensepoint XCD
With the Sensepoint XCD detection system, Honeywell provides easy to use, low maintenance sensory devices for monitoring explosive atmospheric conditions in a variety of industrial settings. The Sensepoint XCD system monitors for explosive oxygen gas, toxic gas, and flammable conditions and constantly relays status through transmitters utilizing a simply traffic light LCD system which can be easily seen and understood from a distance.
Superb Versatility
The Sensepoint XCD system provides a catch all-detection system which has worldwide industry approvals and is compliant with all relevant standards. Suited for indoor use as well as the harshest outdoor conditions, the Sensepoint XCD systemis a versatile product for use in any potentially dangerous industrial atmosphere. The unit is available in both stainless steel and aluminum housing options, both of which are resistant to explosions. The XCD transmitter systems are for three separate environmental conditions (flammable, toxic, and oxygen). Each transmitter has a variety of sensors available for use. Each transmitter will automatically recognize the sensor within its category. The plug-in design of the sensors allows users to simply plug the sensor into the transmitter. The transmitter will automatically adjust and configure for the appropriate sensor settings.
Simplicity in Design
The Sensepoint XCD system is easy to install with a simple plug-in design, a built-in mounting system, and comes equipped with versatile wiring receptions to limit compatibility issues for the end user. Once installed, the system utilizes a “traffic light” type display of green for normal, yellow for warning, and red to alert an atmospheric issue. The maintenance of the system is just as user-friendly with routine maintenance easy and ergonomic enough to be done by one person. The system is also simple enough that it can be used and maintained with little training.
Cost Savings
The Sensepoint XCD system provides a business with cost reductions in both hardware and staffing. The versatile usage and low maintenance of the system reduces the resources needed to monitor conditions and allows personnel to focus on their tasks at hand. The system also provides personnel, and any other parties in the area, peace of mind that their conditions are being constantly monitored for danger and relayed in a way that anyone can detect and bring awareness to dangerous conditions.
