GasAlertMicroClip New Firmware Release
GasAlertMicroClip New Firmware Release
GasAlertMicroClip New Firmware Release
Regions Affected: Worldwide | Date: July 10 2009 |
Dear Colleagues,
Firmware version 30C is released for the GasAlertMicroClip instruments. There is 1 major change in this firmware.
Low battery alarm routine: The low battery alarm routine has been improved to add in audible notification which applies to both normal operation and when used in confidence beep mode. In the earlier version if the instrument is operated in standard operation mode and there was a low battery condition, the instrument would beep periodically to notify the user. With the confidence beep enabled and the instrument went into low battery condition, the confidence been would be silenced to notify the user. Based on VOC we have enhanced this functionality by adding in an audible alarm pattern. Please refer to the errata card below for details on how the new low battery alarm pattern works.
The new firmware has been implemented in manufacturing (serial number cutoff KA309-103550) and is also available on the BW Technologies by Honeywell website for download. Users can use Soft Tools version 10F (or higher) to upgrade their GasAlertMicroClip firmware to Revision 30C. The current firmware revision of the GasAlertMicroClip is displayed on the LCD at instrument start up.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the Inside Sales or Product Management teams.
