These thermometers are designed for use in specific applications. These Durac thermometers feature markings that are permanently printed on the glass, individually serialized, and red spirit liquid that has a dark scale contrasts against a white background. Some thermometers are PFA coated for added safety which may cause a slight change in accuracy up to 1 division.

Incubator thermometers - designed with a swell in the glass to hold the thermometer in place.
