The RKI "S" Series gas sensor and transmitter is basic gas transmitter for the detection of common gas hazards. The transmitter is an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective safety solution to meet the needs of any industrial application. The transmitters were created specifically for highly volatile environments, and each transmitter is housed in an explosion proof casing. The device is ready for field use and can be adjusted and calibrated easily in the field. With an RKI "S" Series transmitter, users can be certain that they are receiving the very best in gas safety equipment.
RKI "S" Series Explosion Proof Gas Sensor and Transmitter Features
The transmitter is a reliable and durable solution for onsite hazards. True to its reputation, RKI Instruments designed this series with user friendly features to meet growing customer demands. This series features an explosion proof housing, patented water repellant sensor coating, long life sensors (2+ years of typical life), and an intrinsically safe rating. The unit operates independently of a controller and is available for LEL, H2S, CO, O2, and ppm HC monitoring. Infrared sensors are also available for LEL and CO2.
To protect the circuitry, the electronics are enclosed inside a potted package. This helps to reduce wear and tear due to corrosion and abuse. The amplifier is situated inside an aluminum explosion proof enclosure. Additionally, all sensors are explosion proof with flame arrestors. The flame arrestors use a patented water repellant coating. They are approved for use in hazardous atmospheres.

Transmitter Specifications
The transmitters are functional both indoors and outdoors. Each condition provides a different operating range for temperature and humidity. Each transmitter operates on 11 to 30 VDC. Each transmitter also comes standard with a 1 year warranty for materials and workmanship.
